Transmuteo
Jonathan Dean (aka Transmuteo), is in the same group of experimental musicians who came from Florida relatively recently and are now basing themselves out of New Orleans, along with Off Balance Atlas and Isidro. That whole scene has their own individual sound and presentation (which can be seen at Merged Music Series), but Dean’s interest me in a way i’ve never experienced, besides a glimpse of the idea in a movie called ‘The Chumscrubber’. His music and visual art are curiously entangled in new age beliefs, dolphin consciousness, crystal healing, and various other concepts that shape the audio. His sounds are bliss. Tropical paradises where dolphins, meditation, and self discovery float in crystal clear atmosphere. Download his debut album for free, below.
